Spain Seville Cathedral

The Seville Cathedral is an exceptional landmark in Seville, Spain but very difficult to photograph as it is almost enclosed by buildings and all the sites are very close. Even with an ultra-wide angle lens one can't capture the entire building.
I finally found this site at some distance and while only capturing the belltower it is perfectly framed by this archway with a nice garden of oranges in the mid-ground.

Photography Tips

The best shot is during the evening blue hour when the belltower is lit up BUT of course there are plenty of people. I came in the early morning with nobody around but the tower was not illuminated as well. You will want a tripod and remote shutter release for this long exposure.

Travel Information

The cathedral is centrally located in Seville. This position is at the exit of the Real Alcazar: walk diagonally across the square through the orange trees and find the archway on the opposite site. Set back away to capture the arch.
