Just outside of the wine village Varen you find yourself in the middle of a vineyard which has the shape of an amphitheatre. The perfect rows and the colours in autumn make the whole hill interesting.

Photography Tips

Take wide angle and tele. Use the little roads for your composition. You get the best light with intense colours around an hour before sunset. During sunset the hill is in the shade.

Bus from Sierre or Leuk to Varen Frayen, there is limited parking there too
