From this place you can see to the Rhone glacier, respectively you saw to the Rhone glacier. This glacier has retreated extremely and will no longer exist in a few years. This analogous to the Hotel Belvédère (right in the middle ground) on the picture. But the view of the mountains, to the Valais and Grimselpass is simply a splendor.

Travel Information

It is hardly possible to park at the former Hotel Belvédère. Therefore, it is best to drive another 2-300 meters to the parking lot on the Furka Pass road.
