The Lej da Vadret is a glacial lake with ever-changing colors due to the fact that is surrounded by several amazing glaciers. The sheer massive mountain range here is breathtaking.

Photography Tips

Place the lake as the center piece of your photo and get a panoramic shot with a 9-photo panorama. Otherwise it will be nearly impossible to get all of the beauty in frame.

Check out the actual local drone regulations before flying.

Travel Information

Parking is down at the Silvaplana Surlej. Take the cable car up to the middle station of Murtel. Then, follow the hiking path until you get to the lake. This relatively easy hike (T2) takes you all the way to the Chamanna Coaz (hut). The accent is around 350m and takes you around 2-2,5h. In dependency of a loop, you can get many different ways back down to the valley.
