Switzerland Bettmerhorn
Nice viewpoint to capture the sunset behind Aletschhorn and Fusshörner, which look like they are on fire around that time of the day. You also have a great view towards the Southwest from here with Matterhorn, Weisshorn and the Mischabelgroup, containing some of the highest peaks in the Swiss Alps (like Dom, the highest mountain fully on Swiss ground)
Photography Tips
Take wide angle and long lenses for panorama shots and details. A tripod is a must
Travel Information
2.5-3 hours hike from Bettmeralp to the spot (550m climb). Follow Moosfluh, then turn right towards Bettmerhorn once you are on the ridge. Head torch needed to get back down after sunset! And take warm clothes as you are on 2500m altitude and it cools down very quickly once the sun has disappeared. Decent hiking shoes are also a must obviously.
