The lake, the mountains and the stunning Alpine landscape are already enchanting, but it is the hotel that truly makes this place what it is. The mountain lake is often almost completely calm, with barely any waves, while numerous benches invite you to sit down and take in the scenery. The hotel also offers a great place to stop and enjoy a meal or a drink. This is a place that simply has to be seen and photographed.

The most important thing is to take a moment to enjoy the scenery first and find a good viewpoint that allows the hotel to really stand out. A polarising filter can be useful for enhancing the reflection on the lake. Alternatively, an ND filter can be used to create a long-exposure effect.

Depending on the desired atmosphere, it can be worth visiting in the morning or evening to capture beautiful light and moods. Be sure to check the operating hours of the cable car beforehand; otherwise, hiking is the alternative.

The location can be reached by car or public transport. The marked parking area is subject to a fee. From there, you can either hike up or take the chairlift from Untersäss to Flumserberg (Chrüz). From Chrüz, it is an easy and scenic hike to Hotel Seebenalp.

The return journey follows the same route. Alternatively, instead of taking the chairlift, you can take the Floomzer alpine coaster, which is also subject to a fee.
