Tanzania Forest Mt. Meru Hike
The trail between Miriakamba Hut and Saddle Hut climbs through the lush montane forest and giant heather zones of Mount Meru. As the vegetation gradually thins, the landscape opens up to spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the dramatic volcanic slopes.

Travel Information
The hike covers approximately 5–6 km, gaining around 1,050 metres in elevation, from Miriakamba Hut (2,514 m) to Saddle Hut (3,570 m). It takes around 3–5 hours and is a steep, sustained climb.
