United Kingdom Henley Royal Regatta
One of the world's premier rowing regattas and social events, major crews from across the world come to compete for major trophies. Great for sporting and social photography. The event is the first week in July, but other celebrations follow later in the month.
During the regatta, entrance to the boating area and enclosures is by a member or guest ticket only. At the festival events, which attract world-class musicians for evening performances, gentlemen are required to dress formally and ladies wear elegant dresses. Think Apocalypse Now with dinner jackets. For those on the river in boats, the dress code is more relaxed.
