The Rattray Head is located in the ocean close to the East coast of Scotland and is well known in the area around Aberdeen. You park your car at a small parking lot and walk through dunes to approach the lighthouse. The location is nice for an afternoon hangout with friends, walking along the beach, or to watch the sunrise.

Photography Tips

Fly my drone around the lighthouse to get the beach in the background. Be aware of strong winds and birds flying around. A polarization filter might be nice to have to get more vibrant colors in your image!

Travel Information

You park at the designated parking area and walk through the dunes towards the lighthouse. Impossible to miss since you can see it from the parking lot already. It's a flat walk but on the sand. might be tiring for some people.
