United Kingdom The Campsie fells
- Please to see the GPS coordinates & weather for this photo spot
This location is a small waterfall which features two large hills at either side of it, in this image I was looking to get some water flowing whilst the Sparks hit the surrounding rocks trees and water.
I took a long exposure of this image from a tripod around 3 meters from the subject, Shooting at 18mm I used Iso 100 for low noise, I exposed for 2.8 seconds and the widest aperture I could on my canon 18-55mm which was F3.5, in future I'd probably shoot a bigger aperture to get better contrast, and increase the shutter speed slightly. All in all the image turned out okay and needed little re-working in Photoshop or Lightrrom. Always shoot in RAW.
From Glasgow city centre, Take the M8 Eastbound and follow signs for Bishopbriggs, once on the B road follow untill Kirkintilloch, come off of the Kirkintilloch Exit and continue on untill you see signs for Lennoxtown at McDonald's in Kirkintilloch. Once on the road to Lennoxtown Signs for Milton of Campsie and Campsie fells can be seen, follow signs for Campsiefells, drive up the hillside to the large carpark, the path down the hillside can be seen from the carpark and is marked by a gap in the surrounding wall, follow the path for a couple of minutes and the fells can be clearly seen.
