United Kingdom Loch Chon
Loch Chon is a scenic freshwater loch located in the Trossachs region of central Scotland, west of the village of Aberfoyle and near Kinlochard. It lies within the boundaries of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts
Photography Tips
Best to use a tripod to capture the mirror like reflections and would highly recommend wellies as it gets quite boggy around the Loch edge. Would highly recommend in misty conditions. I visited after some light snowfall, combine that with the mist hanging around in the trees it really added to the magic.
Travel Information
Loch Chon is located between Kinlochard and Inversnaid on the B829. Once parked safely off the road, head through the trees to the edge of the Loch.
Road is narrow and parking is extremely limited. There are a handful of small pull in places that require vehicles to park on soft verges so care must be taken not to obstruct the road, passing places and not damage the landscape.
