My advice is to research before making your journey there. I found the staff trying to hinder my every move. The cathedral is often busy. You need to pay an entry fee and an fee to use a tripod. Take a good lens and full frame. Shoot in manual. Look for intimate and close up spots rather than shooting the whole cathedral.

Travel from Norwich to Ely. From Ely a short bike ride to the cathedral. Parking is available. Pricy though.
