Renzo Pianos The Shard from platform 13 of London Bridge Station. There might be other platforms that do the trick as well of better. I did not have the time (/light) to check all of them.

Bring a wide-angle. The composition works day and night. For night-photos you will need a tripod, obviously. I am not certain of how wanted those are here.

Wel...it is a train- and tube-station...so public transport might be a valid option here.
