The beautiful capital of England offers so many great themes for photography, especially along the River Thames like London Eye, Big Ben or the Tower Bridge to name only a few of them.
The biggest difficulty for landscape photographers is maybe the huge amount of people and tourists running through the city. That's why you really have to know when you have to be at a specific spot to get good results.

Travelling in London is pretty easy, because there are so many Underground stations everywhere. Just make sure, that you buy an Oyster card and not just daily tickets! They are much more expensive and using an Oyster card for the tube is worth it even for just 1 or 2 days.
If you have a contactless payment card, you can also pay with that. Just make sure you use the same card as you enter and exit the turnstiles or the system won't know what to charge so it will hit you with a fixed £10, which is quite expensive, even for London.
If you are not from the United Kingdom you should also avoid to go to London by car, because the city has a pretty complicated traffic flow and you have to pay additional fees to drive inside the city.
