Arrive in the afternoon to explore the national park.
At night go to the methuselah tree, which is about 10 minutes away from the parking area. Shoot the milky way or star trails when there is no moon

The map doesn't show the walkways. When arriving at the parking area in front of the visitor centre, turn left and walk app 800m

Is the tree above while mountain road on the hillside... is it the one you can see if you turn right leaving the visitor center on top of the hill . I am assuming the walk way is the discovery trail loop . Just traveling 2000 miles to find the tree so I would like to find it on this trip. We walked the methuselah trail for 10 hours last year and couldn’t find it ..... thank you

I just updated the spot on the map as well. When you use Google Maps and switch to Street View at this position you can also see the trees. If I was traveling so far I would also double-check via the information center if they still exist, especially when you had these issues last year Creg. Are you sure you walked this Discovery Trail?

No I walked the methuselah trail it’s the longer loop ..we did not take the discovery trail ... .. I know exactly where you are talking about now . you can see those trees from the main road towards the top of the hill . I will be going this week .Thanks so much for the information and the maps ....
