One of the widest waterfalls in Northern California. It flows year-round. Burney Falls is a stunning waterfall located in McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park in Northern California. Often called the "eighth wonder of the world" by Theodore Roosevelt, it drops 129 feet (39 meters) and flows year-round thanks to underground springs. Surrounded by lush forest, the falls create a magical, misty atmosphere and are a popular destination for nature lovers and hikers.
