USA Hidden in Tumwater Canyon

The classical shot of autumn colors along the Wenatchee River through the Tumwater Canyon in Washington State. This site took me quite a while to find but amazingly it is hidden quite in plain site.

Photography Tips

Arrive early and set up on a tripod; don't forget to use your polarizer filter as the sun will come up off your left shoulder. It is often foggy in the early morning along the river which should enhance the shot.

Travel Information

Relatively easy to find, this spot is west of the Alps candy shop on Highway 2 out of Leavenworth. Travel west past the shop and after about 1 mile (2km) look for a pull-off on the left (south) side of the road. There is a little side passage of the river near the road side.
