This is from down town Avalon before dawn looking back toward the ferry terminal using the frame of a building to frame the spot.

Use of tripod ND grad filters to balance the light in the image. I was using a wide angle lens 17-35. Using the frame of the building window to frame the image

Travel Information

Catalina Island is an hour by ferry from Long Beach. You can do a day trip out to the Island but staying overnight gives you the opportunity to shoot both sunrise and sunset
