This is one of many waterfalls you’ll visit In the area in one day. Packing a polarizing filter and ND filter(s) is a good idea. If you decide to take the trail behind the falls, mist can be an issue so be prepared to protect your gear.

Travel Information

Lower South Falls is located in Silver Falls State Park in Oregon, about a 1 mile downstream from South Falls. The trail between the falls is lush and for the most part level. A set of stairs takes you down to the falls. The trail goes behind the falls.
