From Skagway, in Alaska, you can catch a train east and over the White Pass into Canada. The views are breathtaking.

Photography Tips

The best shot from the train is towards the back and in the section that leads into the next passenger car. This is usually an open-air section where you can stick your camera outside, and shoot the length of the train as it passes through some spectacular views.

Travel Information

If you have no other reason to get to Skagway it's pretty remote. The one exception is that it's a typical stop on one of the numerous cruises to Alaska.
