USA Hite Crossing

This spot is less than a mile from Hite Marina. Access to the water is currently closed due to low water levels resulting from extreme drought conditions in Utah. However, the surrounding landscape is no less dramatic.

Photography Tips

A 24-70mm lens worked well for me here. The scenery along highway 95 north and south of Hite Marina road includes some of the most dramatic desert canyon landscape in the western United States.

Travel Information

This shot was taken facing away from the dry boat ramp. Since there is currently no boat access to the water there are very few visitors to the area. There are very nice restrooms with flush toilets there. The Hite Marina Campground is also very nice and can accommodate tent campers and RVs of all sizes.
