USA Old Faithful
Old Faithful is a cone geyser located in Yellowstone National Park. The geyser itself is in my opinion almost secondary .. look at all these people ... anyhow it errupts every 35-210 min .. so always lots of people waiting for the next erruption.
The average interval between two eruptions of the world's most famous geyser is 90 minutes. It is because of its relatively consistent performance that it is so familiar and has been given the name Old Faithful. The estimated time of the next eruption, plus/minus 15 minutes, is displayed in the visitor centre right next to it.
The eruption lasts 1½ to 5 minutes. Compared to most other geysers, that's a sensationally long time. For me, having already seen various geysers in Iceland and in Chile, it seems as if it doesn't want to stop. Its height of 30 to 55 metres and the 14,000 to 32,000 litres of boiling water that Old Faithful emits with each eruption are also impressive.
