It's only a 3 mile hike to this location from the Sunrise Visitor Center, but some could find is strenuous is they are not in shape, used to hiking at elevation (6500 feet above sea level.)

This visitor center is only open during the summer months. Go early or later in the afternoon, this is popular area, parking gets tough from 10am-3pm.

2 hours, SE from Seattle, WA. Travel to the Sunrise visitor center, then hike east to Dege Peak.
