USA Grand Canyon

Well, you probably know the Grand Canyon!
The most famous gorge in the world is one of the greatest natural wonders on earth. Most of it is surrounded by the Grand Canyon National Park, which is a World Heritage Site. The canyon is around 450 kilometres long, 6 to 30 kilometres wide and up to 1.8 kilometres deep. The edges of the Grand Canyon are practically in the high mountains, with the South Rim averaging 2,100 metres above sea level. The North Rim is on average 300 metres higher. Access there is still closed until mid-May due to winter obstructions.
On the South Rim, you have plenty of opportunities to admire this incredible canyon. Somehow it always looks similar and yet different, but always magnificent. The Colorado River, which has washed it out of the Colorado Plateau over many millions of years, can only rarely be seen from up there and only in sections.

Wide angle lens required (16mm is good).

Read Grand Canyon Village by car. Then follow rim trail toward Hopi Point. There are a huge number of spots. There is a free shuttle.
