USA Spirit Falls
Spirit Falls is considered by many to be the most beautiful falls in Washington State. The color of the water from glacial melt is this incredible turquoise and the surrounding vegetation frame it perfectly. It is a really tough spot to hike to so you will put in some sweat equity but it is worth it!
Photography Tips
Come on a cloudy day and use a polarizer filter to slow the shutter down to at least 1/2 second to blur the water motion. You will need a tripod.
There are several viewpoints but the postcard shot is down a steep rockface with a rope. There is running water on the rock and I didn't trust the rope. A fall would cause injury so be careful.

Travel Information
Drive to the Cook-Underwood Rd north of Cook along the Little White Salmon River. There is a loop further east which is confusing so make certain you get the westerly of the two.
Drive 1.9 miles north and pull out on the right (east) just before the 2 mile signpost. There is an orange marker showing the start of the trail; it is not for the faint of heart. Take hiking sticks; it is about 1/2 mile trail with almost 1000 feet elevation loss which you have to climb back out.
