USA Paria Hackberry Wilderness Study Area

Located within the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, a scenic area of sandstone, mudstone, spires and rocks shaped and polished by wind, rain and ice.

I alternated between a 14-24mm and 24-105mm lens. The wide angle is helpful while photographing near the base of the sandstone cliffs.

Drive east on Hwy. 89, 2.4 miles past House Rock Valley Road to a dirt road on the left. There is room to park just outside the gate. While cattle ranchers lease the land from the Bureau of Land Management for cattle ranging, it is public land that you’re allowed to explore. After going through the gate, close and secure it behind you.
