A beautiful, river side location in Yosemite Valley most people don't see. This location is on the Valley Loop Trail which meanders along the Merced River.

Photography Tips

Afternoon is best for pictures here. Wear hiking boots as it sometimes can be slippery as you approach the river to get low and make a good image.

Travel Information

There is no parking at this location. I took the valley tram and got off at stop 8 (El Capitan Picnic Area) and walked to this location. Parking in the valley is quite limited.
