USA Cumberland Falls via Eagle Falls Trail
stunning elevated overlook of Cumberland Falls along the Cumberland River, accessed via the Eagle Falls Trail in Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. This vantage point frames the falls through the surrounding forest canopy, providing a wide panoramic perspective that is completely different from the standard lower-angle shots taken at the main overlook. Peak fall foliage transforms this into one of the most scenic spots in Kentucky.
Photography Tips
Bring a tripod. A long exposure in the range of 1 to 4 seconds will smooth the water beautifully. Shoot during overcast conditions to avoid harsh light and blown highlights on the water. Peak fall color typically hits mid to late October. Arrive early to catch mist rising off the falls in the morning.
Travel Information
