USA Colorado River Petroglyphs
Easily accessible petroglyphs along the highway on sandstone cliffs opposite the Colorado River.
Photography Tips
The petroglyphs are well above road level. If you arrive in the morning when the sun is shining directly on them or in the afternoon when they are entirely in shade, it may be difficult to see them. Be careful crossing the road to see them. Cars don't necessarily watch for pedestrians.
Travel Information
Potash Road heads west from US 191 about 4 miles north of downtown Moab. Follow Potash Road (Utah State Highway 279) for about 5 miles from US 191 until you find parking..
