USA Musselman Arch
Musselman Arch is in an isolated and sparsely visited part of Canyonlands National Park. The arch is more interesting in person than in photographs. In fact, it's hard to tell that there is an arch in the second photograph, which shows it, but the surrounding landscape is spectacular.
Photography Tips
There are many interesting areas around the arch and on the dirt road leading to it. Take time to look around and explore a variety of angles.
Travel Information
Musselman Arch is just off the White Rim Road a litle over three miles from the Potash Road and the base of the Shafer Trail. You'll need a four-wheel drive vehicle (or a mountain bike) to travel any of those roads. The Shafer Trail provides the closest access from a paved road, but it is extremely steep (more than 20 percent), The Potash Road from just north of Mesa has a much easier grade, but you'll still want a 4x4 with good ground clearance.
