The light pollution can get pretty bad towards the east by boulder, but if you point your lens west the stars are clear.

Travel Information

You need a car, preferably with 4 wheel drive. You'll be pulling off to the side of the road to get shots. There are a lot of good roads around so check out some of the others as well.
