This is a high overlook of the Hayden Valley, it is a good sunrise/sunset spot as well as one of the best wildlife spotting places in Yellowstone National Park.

Photography Tips

When there are thin clouds I always use a split field neutral density filter at sunrise and sunset because of the huge dynamic range at these times of day. On clear sky mornings and evenings they just darken the sky in an unpleasant way. Tripod as always early and late.

Travel Information

This is about in the middle of Yellowstone National Park Wyoming. The best places to fly into are Jackson Wyoming and Bozeman Montana.
