Austria Seebensee, Zugspitze View
The Seebensee is a beautiful mountain lake with an exceptional view onto the highest Peak of Germany, the Zugspitze.
Photography Tips
It is a 2 hour hike from the cable car, so be prepared. Hope for good weather and a calm lake, bring filters and a light tripod. Being there early or late means, that you have to be Independent from the cable car, which is not the easiest thing.
Travel Information
Parking at the Ehrwalder Almbahn lower Station, go up with the Cable car (17€ up and down). Then you need roughly 2 hours of easy hiking. Plan your trip precisely, so you don't miss the last cable car going down.
The ascent from the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn is somewhat steeper and more strenuous. This will take 1 1/2 - 2 hours if you are a bit experienced and you don't have to pay for the cable car and don't have to worry about the times.
