A good time is sunrise or sunset. The best time of the year is autumn, when the trees are most colorful!
Travel Information
Avoid travelling on weekends and public holidays - there are many tourists.
From the south of Bavaria: Lake Walchensee - Wallgau - Vorderriß - Hinterriss
Or from Bad Tölz: Lenggries - Lake Sylvensteinspeichersee - Fall - Vorderriss - Hinterriss
During the high season, there is public transport by bus as well.
Attention: The little street from Hinterriss to Eng and Big mapple plain is open in the summer months, May until October. In Winter (November until April) the street is closed and it´s a beautiful cross-country ski trail. There is a road fee of EUR 3.50 for cars, EUR 2.50 for motorcycles, and EUR 6.00 for campers.
