Belgium Windmills Halen

The windmills along the E314, spanning the municipalities of Halen and Diest, are part of a notable renewable energy initiative in Belgium.

Shoot during golden hour (just after sunrise or before sunset) to get that warm, glowing light like in your photo. It enhances the colors of the sky and landscape.
Shoot from the east side, so the setting sun is positioned behind or beside the windmills to create dramatic silhouettes or rim lighting.
Place the main windmill off-center to create a more balanced and engaging composition.
Include grass, flowers (is present), or pathways to add depth and context.

The mills are located along the E314 highway in Halen. From direction of Leuven it takes about 30 minutes by car.
Parking is usually available near the windmill area or along the cycling routes.
