Canada Marble Canyon
Marble Canyon is a great spot all year around, but colours were very impressive in winter. The contrast between white snow and the blue river in the canyon is just beautiful.
40 metres deep and in some places only 3 metres wide is the canyon carved out by Tokumm Creek in Kootenay National Park. Soft limestone and brittle dolomite rock, reminiscent of marble, form the canyon, which has been carved by water for around 12,000 years. Seven bridges, each higher up, cross the canyon and provide views into the abyss. At the very top, the water shoots in spectacularly.

Photography Tips
In winter, do not go without Spikes! Its very icy and slippery! With a wide angle you get the whole situation in one picture. We love including a person in the picture. Golden hour would have been even more beautiful
