France Eiffel Tower view from the street, Paris

This is a street that only a few Parisians know. It is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris and there is an amazing view of La Tour Eiffel there.

The location combines Haussmann-style architecture with the splendor of the Eiffel Tower, making it part of Paris's historical and cultural heritage. This photograph number 5 captures an intimate moment between two lovers at one of Paris' many spots. The majestic background is dominated by the Eiffel Tower, timeless symbol of the City of Light. The style is inspired by the works of Henri Cartier-Bresson, with natural composition and impeccable timing, capturing the essence of the "decisive moment". This type of location is often crowded, making it difficult to get an original, even iconic, photograph. Nevertheless, I encourage you not to let this discourage you. Originality comes from observation and anticipation. Be prepared, for patience will be your best ally in capturing a unique scene. The attached photo is living proof. I wish you inspiration and good shots!

Photography Tips

The best is to be on a tripod and to have a 24mm lens with you - not too wide so that there are fewer distractions but still wide enough for the dynamic scene. The dynamic range of the scene can be massive because the street itself is located in a shade so here is a good tip: shoot HDR - 3 exposures for your highlights, middle tones and shadows. Then just blend the two using Photoshop or Lightroom. This way you will get all the details which are beautiful if you come during the sunset.
As always suggest the students come to locations 1 hour early - this way you will have time to prepare and to find your perfect composition. When it comes to photography, rushing is not needed at all.

Alternatively, you can wait for the moment when the city lights turn on - this location would be perfect for that as well as there is an amazing lamp in the foreground. In any case, don't forget to check your focus and shoot Raw + HDR. Have Fun! :)

Travel Information

The closest to this location metro station is Passy, then there is a 5-minute walk, a rather enjoyable one.

The photo spot is easily accessible by public transport in Paris. Take metro line 6 and get off at the "Passy" station. Then follow the signs to Avenue de Camoëns. A few minutes' walk will bring you to this avenue, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and capture your decisive moment.

Enjoy your time in this beautiful city and fingers crossed with the weather. I was there once in December as well and was super lucky with sunny but very cold weather which was still great. Don't miss the view from Tour Montparnasse during sunset ;-)

Loved this place! Thank you for sharing. The town was very crowded during my stay in June on a weekend. But this place is a secret. There were just a few people. Pitifuly the building on the right was covered because of renovation.
