Tripod essential and protection from dripping water. Never enter an ice cave in summer as it may collapse.
There are some photography tours to the limited caves available these days. Usually Oct-May is the time when the caves are open. There are "tourist" tours when too many people are in the cave and time is very limited. Dig a little bit to find a longer tour and ask them how many people will be in the cave for how long before booking.
