Initially, I had stopped at the lamp visible in the background, and from there I had captured the entire church. I then moved to the second bridge, where this particular photograph was taken. When I climbed onto the bridge, I did two things that I usually do when I find myself in such picturesque alleyways. The first is to turn around and look behind me, and the second is to look through the viewfinder with my eye. It was then, and only then, that I saw the subject.
