Japan Golden Gai

Golden Gai is tucked away in a couple of side streets close to Shinjuku station. The streets are so small and narrow that no cars can come in. Most of the houses are small pubs and the hole atmosphere takes you back to pre WWII Japan. An epic place for street photography!

Photography Tips

Come here after sunset when Golden Gai awakes. Bring only a 50 mm f1.8 or faster for good low light. And maybe a wide angle prime like a 15 mm f2.8 or faster.

Travel Information

Go to Shinjuku station, take one of the Orth exits and the go East do a couple blocks before going North into the maze...
