About the location
The building, designed by BRT Architekten, features a 25-degree incline that makes it appear to be floating over the water. Its glass facade is perfect for architectural photography, reflecting the changing light of the sky and the industrial textures of the neighboring port. Photographers are drawn to the symmetry of the large external staircases and the dramatic angles that change with every step you take.
From the observation deck, you have an unobstructed 360-degree view. You can look eastward toward the Elbe Philharmonic Hall and the city center, or westward toward the massive container terminals of Waltershof. The contrast between the sleek, modern lines of the building and the gritty, industrial nature of the harbor makes it a standout location for both urban and architectural photography.
