Here are 5 photo spots at Eltz Castle for you.

Tips for your trip to Eltz Castle

About the location

The best time to photograph this beautiful location is probably during the early morning hours in autumn. If you are lucky, the castle might be covered into fog and the trees around the area are shining in different red and brown autumn colors. Being early at this place also makes sure that you won't have tourists in your photos. It very much depends on which look you prefer for your image. A snowy winter day or a nice sunset at any day of the year might also be a good choice for this place.

Traveling

You can easily get there by car. There is a quite big parking space for Eltz Castle which costs a few Euros. The walk to the castle takes about 10 minutes, but you can also use a special bus to get there for some bucks. The footpath is more beautiful and easier to walk, but also a lot longer than the street the bus uses and that you can also use to walk down there.

Special tip: If you are very early for your sunrise photo there is usually no parking fee, because the money is collected by guards at the entrance of the parking area.
