About the location
The bridge is famous for its transition from a high-cable-stayed section to a tunnel via the artificial island of Peberholm. This unique structure provides a variety of geometric shapes and leading lines that are perfect for architectural photography. From the Swedish side at Luftkastellet or the viewpoint in Sibbarp, photographers can capture the bridge stretching toward the horizon, often disappearing into sea mist or glowing under the golden hour sun.
Long exposure photography is particularly rewarding here, as the movement of the water and the passing clouds contrast beautifully with the static, rigid lines of the concrete and steel. At night, the bridge is illuminated, creating a necklace of lights across the dark strait, which reflects brilliantly off the surface of the Öresund.
