The harbour of Scheveningen is encompassed by two "arms" of the breakwaters: the Northern Pier with the small red lighthouse and the southern Pier with the small green lighthouse. As you approach the two breakwaters, they seem very close to one another but, to reach the green lighthouse, you have to encircle the entire harbour and that may take some time.

Photography Tips

It tends to be windy and cold here so take a hat and a pair of gloves. Airblower and a cleaning cloth are a must as the fine sand will be all over the place with the slightest wind. And a tripod if you wish to shoot long exposures.

Travel Information

Easily reached by car, and ample parking lots close to the piers.
