The Hokitika gorge offers brilliant turquoise water fringed with stark white limestone cliffs and lush green rainforest. Next to the river and the gorge you can find nice perspectives like this curved bride that leads you through the rainforest.

At this spot you have a "classic" view where a lot of people are waiting for a nice picture.
But if you are going just 20 meter to your left you will get a very similar view to the other side of the river which is still a beautiful nice picture! You don´t need to wait cause no one is doing it. Crazy..!

Here are a lot of parking places available. In March 2025 one of the walks was closed cause a suspension bridge was under construction.
