Norway Blåvatnet
The beautiful blue colour of the water may be explained by the silt particles in the meltwater from the Lenangsbreen glacier.
Photography Tips
The 3 mountains that surround the pond are about 1400 meters high so wider lenses are better. Polarizers might come in handy too.
Travel Information
You need a car to get to the parking lot - Parking is automated and costs money. There is the chance to take some of the "free" parking lots a bit further down the road. However, you would need to hike that difference to the parking lot. Furthermore, you would need to hike some 4,5 km to the spot on rocky terrain. Thats why good hiking boots are recommended. Route finding is not the easiest but due to the washed out area straight forward.
