The Konowbukta is the outlet fjord of the closely glacier. The nearby hike between the glaciers offers absolute stunning views over the insane icy landscapes. It's 100% a once in a lifetime experience.

Photography Tips

Use yourself or a person for scale.

Svalbard has very strict regulations when it comes to flying drone. You need to obtain a special permit and you need to respect the no-fly zones. This area was alright to fly (as of summer 2025).

Travel Information

To get up that beautiful ridge, you would need to hike with your expedition group. The hike is around 300-400m elevation gain over a short distance up the slopes.
