Svalbard & Jan Mayen Islands Tundra, Eidembukta

The tundra areas im Svalbard are rich of many tones, colors and amazing rock formations after a long lasting winter. Here you can learn a lot about the flora and fauna. As well you have a high chance for wildlife encounters like birds, reindeer or polar fox.

To be honest: I have no specific tips here. I would just have your 24-70mm range ready for some nice landscape pictures.

This picture is just possible with a daily excursion by boat or with a multiple day ship cruise. In the internet are many providers for different tours in Svalbard. If you want to travel to this remote region you should book your cruise in advance to make sure that they have enough space and the right cabin for your style of traveling.
