The rock formations at Alkefjellet are formed from basalt and dolomite which results in an absolute stunning rock display, towering over 100m straight out of the ocean into a glacier.

Photography Tips

Ultra wide angle lens is essential here to get was much of these wonderful rocks into the frame. Even though this is landscape photography, go for a faster shutter since you have birds flying around everywhere.

Travel Information

The highest activity on the sea cliffs is during the summer month between mid June and August. Thats when you find the full strength of the breeding pairs.
