Svalbard & Jan Mayen Islands NY Alesund Old Steam Train
Ny-Ålesund Railway is home to the world's northernmost railway, originally built to transport coal from the mines to the harbor. Although no longer in operation, the historic steam locomotive and tracks remain a reminder of Ny-Ålesund's mining heritage and early industrial history in the High Arctic.
Photography Tips
Try to get a bit more away from the train and use a zoom lens to separate the subject to the rest of its surroundings in order to get a cleaner image.
